Shree Naik Ramachandra Mandir | Guruwar Peth

The Shree Ram Mandir in Guruwar Peth, Pune, is a 200-year-old temple built by Nandram Sudarlal Naik, a nobleman whose ancestral roots trace back to Rajasthan. He arrived in Pune in the 1700s and played a key role in constructing several historical buildings, including Shaniwar Dawada. The temple stands as part of a massive wada (traditional mansion) built for his residence, and it continues to be managed by his family to this day.​

This temple is a serene retreat from the city’s hustle, with a Hanuman murti at the entrance and a beautifully crafted wooden interior inspired by Maharashtrian wada architecture. Inside the garbhagriha, murtis of Shree Ram, Lakshman, and Mata Sita are installed, offering a peaceful spiritual experience for visitors.

This temple is not as large or as widely documented as Tulshibaug Ram Mandir, but it holds local significance as a family‑managed heritage site that has preserved its rituals and identity over generations.
